jaysboatcar has been serving quality sounds
to the minneapolis area since y2k. after a few
playa changes-- they settled into their own as
a one of a kind sextet. the music they make
depicts their diverse intersts, from johnny
cash to aphex twin, they love it all.
so how did they get their name?
well....it all started in some dirty old basement.
as the boys searched for a name, they found
it hard to agree on one that encompassed the
scope of their very unique sound. then,
someone mentioned a very unique person--
jay. jay is jessie's older brother, and he has
been sketching and designing variations of
boatcars since he was a child. the numerous
entities of these vehicles reflects the many
sounds the band has. and so they became
jaysboatcar. a unique name for a unique band!
